Mysuru:  The annual college magazine ‘Ananthayatre’ brought out by Maharaja’s College has bagged the first prize of the ‘University Yearly Magazine Award (2016-17)’.

It was adjudged the best magazine among 224 colleges belonging to University of Mysore. Ananthayatre’s Editor Dr. D. Vijayalakshmi from the Kannada Department, her colleagues and the Editorial team had worked hard by including articles in Kannada, English, Urdu and Hindi.

Many of the articles have been contributed by students. “This year we are very happy that our college magazine bagged the first prize. Last year we were placed third,” said Maharaja’s College Principal Dr. B. Nagarajamurthy.
