Bannimantap Bus Terminal design should be discarded

March 13, 2025

Sir,

I refer to a few ‘Letters to the Editor’ and the very valid comments in each of them on the  proposed new Bus Terminal project at Bannimantap which has not been planned wisely. It is a pity that the concerned agencies/individuals are oblivious to the need to follow good planning principles.

A recent letter from M.S. Vijayashankar throws light on the lack of architectural ideas and mere copying the elevation of the famous Mysore Palace.

I agree that the design is atrocious and should be discarded to go for a modern efficient building (wherever it is to be eventually located).
