Basavaiah (78), a retired Mysore University employee and a resident of Kuvempunagar, who was earlier residing at K.G. Koppal, passed away yesterday in city. He was the former Vice-President of Kuvempunagar Anikethana Residents Association.

He leaves behind his wife, children, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at Kannegowda Burial Grounds in Kuvempunagar yesterday, according to family sources.
