BJP Medical Wing introduces tele-counselling facility to COVID-19 positive patients

May 8, 2021

Mysore/Mysuru: BJP District Rural Unit President Mangala Somashekar has stated that the Medical Wing of BJP has introduced tele-counselling facility to COVID-19 positive patients.

Addressing a press meet at BJP office here yesterday, she said, “People who are battling with mental health issues can access the tele-counselling facility introduced by BJP Medical Wing. As of now, we have received over 3,000 calls. Most of them are calling us to get hospital beds, ICU facility, oxygen and ventilators to which we have been responding positively and fulfilling their demands in time.”

“In each assembly segment, we have set up helpline facilities. All our party leaders are involved in this process. We have been distributing medicine kits, free of cost, to each COVID-19 positive household. Our volunteers have also been actively involved in helping families carry out last rites,” she added.

“District In-charge Ministers have now stationed in each district and are coordinating the relief work being carried out by district administration. When  the country is moving ahead in its fight against the Coronavirus, there are many who are playing politics in this situation also. Instead, opposition parties should provided constructive advice to the Government. We need to come together and fight this pandemic in solidarity,” she added.

“We have noticed that MLC A.H. Vishwanath has been unnecessarily criticising his own party leaders. This would certainly send a wrong message to the public. He is one of the senior leaders. Instead of passing comments publicly, he needs to discuss those issues in party meetings. If he continues to do the same, we would not hesitate to take action against him,” she said.
