Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru Sahitya Mattu Samskritika Pratishtana had organised a books release function at Rotary Auditorium on JLB road here on Sunday.

 Collection of poems – Megha Mandara by D. Manjunath; collection of Vachanas-Vachana Chintamani  by B. Dilip Salanke and drama- Ake! Sujata by C. Vani Raghavendra were released by Writer Dr. Anasuya S. Kempanahalli.

Later, Shikshana Ratna Award was presented to Dr. P.G. Indukala Urs, Sahiyta Ratna Award to M.S. Venkataramaiah, Vidu. Gana Saraswati Award to Dr. Suma Harinath, Ranga Chatura Award to D. Ashwath Kadamba, Sahitya Sindhu Award to Dr. S. Puttappa Mudigunda, K. Mahadev Nayak Parisara Premi Award to P.T. Lakshminarayan, Samaja Seva Ratna Award ton S. Satyasheela and T. Ravigowda and Kreeda Ratna Award on Pailwan Diwani. 

Kannada Sahity Parishat President Dr. Y.D. Rajanna, former President Maddikere Gopal and M. Chandrashekhar were felicitated on this occasion. 

Speaking after releasing the three books, Writer Dr. Anasuya S. Kempanahalli addressed the gathering. Lecturer D.C. Tejovati and Writer Samudravalli Vasu spoke about the books Megha Mandara and Ake! Sujata respectively.

Pratishtana Founder-President M.B. Santosh, Cultural Committee President N.C. Mamata, General Secretary M.N. Jayanthi, Vice-President C. Vani Raghavendra, Treasurer D. Manjunath, Rekha Santosh, S. Datta, Nitu S. Raj, B.R. Vijayashri and others were present.
