‘Booth Pramukhs’ to be appointed in KR Constituency to respond to people’s needs: MLA Ramdas

Mysore/Mysuru: Krishnaraja MLA S.A. Ramdas has launched a unique initiative in his constituency by hoisting BJP flag atop the house of Ward No. 47 Booth President and unveiling a nameplate on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said this programme has been launched to make Krishnaraja a model Assembly constituency. There are 7,800 Assembly constituencies in the entire country and this programme has been launched for the first time in his constituency. 

There are 62,000 houses in the constituency and it was not possible to visit every house. So, one ‘Pramukh’ will be appointed for 30 houses and his main job is to reach the schemes of State and Union Governments to the people.

Ramdas said, as Minister, he had promised to make Krishnaraja Constituency free from borewells and accordingly, it has been done. The existing borewells are used for the maintenance of parks. Drinking water will be supplied to every house 24×7. Steps will be taken to address water scarcity problem in any house based on information given by ‘Pramukhs,’ he said adding that their job was also to collect information about the voters in rented houses in order to provide them with permanent shelter. 

“My aim is to make Krishnaraja Assembly segment as most secured. Accordingly, roads will be improved for the smooth flow of traffic,” he said.

Corporator Shivakumar, Krishnaraja BJP President M .Vadivelu, General Secretary Nagendrakumar, Ward In-Charge and Ashraya Committee Member Hemanth, Ward President Shanthaveerappa, Secretary Girishgowda and others were present.
