Yi Mysuru – World of Mysuru Pak initiative
Mysuru: In a step toward promoting inclusivity, Young Indians (Yi) Mysuru partnered with World of Mysuru Pak to celebrate their 100-day milestone.
As part of the collaboration, Yi Mysuru launched a Braille menu for the visually impaired and unveiled an accessibility ramp to accommodate individuals with mobility challenges.
These initiatives are a part of Yi Mysuru’s ongoing efforts under its ‘Accessibility Vertical’ to ensure that public spaces are welcoming and inclusive for all.
In a pilot programme, 16 visually challenged children were the first to use the Braille menu, promoting their independence and self-reliance. They also unveiled the 100-day milestone.
The Braille menu aims to ensure that blind and visually impaired individuals can enjoy a more inclusive dining experience, while the accessibility ramp will help people with mobility issues navigate the space with ease and comfort.
One of the individuals who benefited from this initiative said, “This is an incredible programme and it is something that should be available in more restaurants.”
Yi Mysuru Chair Gagan Ranka, Co-Chair Priyanka Sridhar, Accessibility Vertical Chair Maria Andrews and Yi Mysuru members Abhishek Patel, Prajwal, Guruprasad and C.S. Nikhil, Partner, World of Mysuru Pak, were present.
