Calling farmers

In a bid to encourage the farming community, Yelandur based Smt. Sundaramma Duggahatti Veerabahdrappa Pratishtana has announced cash prize to a best farmer/woman farmer. Farmers who have recorded the highest yield in paddy crop grown in Nanjangud taluk, banana in Yelandur, sugar-cane in Kollegal, maize in Hanur, tomato in Chamarajanagar and beans/vegetables in Gundlupet taluk, can apply. Cash prize will be distributed at the annual Suttur Jatra to take place at Suttur in Nanjangud from Jan. 18 to 23, 2023.  Farmers can register their names at ICAR JSS Krishi Vigyan Kendra at Suttur or at their nearest Raitha Samparka Kendra/Horticulture Department office, before Dec. 17.
