Dr. Hemamalini Lakshman, wife of Dr. K. Lakshman of Kannan Diagnostic Centre, Mysuru, has won the Outstanding (Best) Garden Prize in Terrace Garden category at the Dasara Garden Competition organised by Horticulture Department. She has won the Best Terrace Garden Prize for five consecutive years.

Excel Public School has been adjudged as the winner in the Ornamental Garden Section (Institutions), third time in a row at the Dasara Flower Show Contest-2017.
