CESC to launch bill collection drive

Mysore/Mysuru: Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) Ltd. will be launching electricity bill collection drive to collect the pending bills from consumers who have failed to clear the same despite completion of due date.

In a statement, CESC Managing Director K.M. Munigopal Raju, has requested electricity consumers including the Government Departments to clear the arrears by Nov. 14 at nearest CESC bill counter or through online payment. He also said that electricity supply would be disconnected if consumers fail to complete their payments with stipulated deadline.

He also urged the consumers to consider the due date mentioned in electricity bill as 15-day notice to complete their payment failing which electricity supply would be disconnected as per rules of Condition of Supply of Electricity, Distribution Licensee 2004 of Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission.
