Mysuru: The Common Entrance Test (CET), the gate way to professional courses, conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) commenced this morning at 20 centres in city. Totally 10,032 students are appearing for the Test.

Today’s test featured Biology from 10.30 am to 11.50 am and Mathematics from 2.30 pm to 3.50 pm. Tomorrow it will be Physics and Chemistry respectively during the same timings.

Speaking to Star of Mysore, DDPUE Jayaprakash said that each CET Centre is monitored by a supervisor along with special squads assisted by a mobile squad. He further said that adequate security has been provided by the Police at each Centre.

He added that the students will not be allowed to wear a wrist watch as a clock had been fitted on the wall in every class room. Meanwhile, a few parents complained SOM that clocks were not fitted at a Test Centre inconveniencing the students and specifically causing more anxiety to students. However, the DDPUE denied it stating that the clocks were indeed fitted during the 2nd PU exams and the Dept. had even ensured about their working.
