February 24, 2023

Mysuru: Mysuru Literary Forum Charitable Trust and Mysuru Book Clubs-2015 have jointly organised Children’s Literature Festival for kids aged 4 to 14 years on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023, at Wind Chimes on Vasanth Mahal Road in Nazarbad.

The event will be held between 4 pm and 7 pm and will be full of interesting and fun-filled activities.

Performance storyteller and theatre practitioner Vikram Sridhar, dedicated to keeping the ancient art of storytelling alive, will mesmerise the young with his stories. He will talk about how storytelling can bridge the generations and bring families together during these technology-driven times.

Singers Laksh and Nikita, who understand the rhythms of young people’s musical choices will make the children sway and step to their melodies at the festival. Tanmayi S. Chowdipura, the 13-year-old and a vibrant YouTuber will enthral the gathering with her voice.

The children will also have an opportunity to meet the authors of the book “Little Handbook of Cool Technology” — Shalini Satish and Raam Bharanidharan.

Children’s Literature Festival

Technology has cast a magic spell on the world with fascinating advancements with each passing day. Children can join a journey through the enchanted world of technology where computers turn artists, robots turn drivers and cities become ‘smart’. Both Shalini Satish and Raam Bharanidharan share an enormous passion for books and literature.

The child audience is in for a real treat when they watch the folk art of ‘Bombe Aata’ rendering the thrilling mythological story of ‘Narakaasura Vadhe’ where demon Narakaasura is killed by the consort of Sri Krishna and the world celebrates Deepavali to mark the auspicious occasion.
