Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. Vijaya Srinivas and Dr. Raghavi Karnam of city-based NGO Public Health Research Institute of India gave presentations at the Asia-Oceania Research Organisation in Genital Infection and Neoplasia (AOGIN) Conference, held at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh in Uttarakhand recently. AOGIN is a prestigious Asia-Oceanic organisation of representatives from more than 21 collaborating countries, wor-king towards eliminating cervical and other genital cancers through education, research, service and advocacy.
Dr. Vijaya was invited as a faculty to deliver a talk on ‘Cervical Cancer Screening in the Community: Public Health Research Institute of India (PHRII) Experience, Mysore.’ Dr. Raghavi gave an oral presentation on ‘Lived experiences of Female Cancer Survivors in Mysore, a Photo voice study’ for which she won the second prize and received a medal and cash prize.
