City student dies in Bengaluru Railway Station accident

Mysuru: In a tragic incident, a girl student of the city died while boarding a train at KSR Bengaluru Railway Station on Wednesday evening.

Shreya (19), daughter of senior advocate of the city Umesh, who is also a former Secretary of Mysuru Bar Association, is the deceased. She was a second year BCA student at Mata Amritanandamayi college of the city.

Shreya was one among her college team that was travelling to Chennai to take part in a cultural event there. Shreya got out of the train for buying a water bottle and later attempted to board the Chennai bound train, when she slipped and fell down and died after suffering severe head injuries, it is learnt.

The Bengaluru Railway Police have registered a case in this regard and are investigating.
