September 13, 2024

Nagamangala: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said action will be taken without any mercy, against those persons irrespective of caste and religion, involved in violence during the procession of Ganesha idols in Nagamangala town.

Reacting to media queries over the incident, CM Siddaramaiah said, the act of throwing stones at a religious procession is undoubtedly the handiwork of miscreants to disturb the peace and harmony in the society.

The Government has taken a serious view into the incident and over 50 suspects have been already arrested by the Police in this regard. The first priority of the Government is to maintain peace, law and order in the society.

The people should also cooperate, without succumbing to any provocations, appealed CM Siddaramaiah.
