Mysuru:  Demanding equal pay for equal work and job security, contract workers of the Health Department will take out a rally in city tomorrow (Oct.25).

Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, Karnataka State Health Department Contract Workers Federation Convenor Srivatsa said that the rally will commence from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple at the Palace North Gate at 10.30 am in which about 1,400 contract workers, who include medical staff, Lab Technicians and staff nurses, will take part.

The rally will terminate at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, where a memorandum will be submitted to the DC urging for fulfilment of their demands, which chiefly include equal pay for equal work and job security, among others. He further said that the protest will be intensified if the demands are not met.
