Cotton and Silk Fab Mela begins in city

Mysuru: Weavers Handloom has organised a six-day Cotton and Silk Fab Mela at Nanjaraja Bahadur Choultry on Vinoba Road here since yesterday.

The exhibition brings together rural weavers from across the country and their products features vast collections of handlooms, dress materials, West Bengal cotton sarees and many more.

The Mela also has silver jewellery, kundan and meenakari, handmade paper, precious and semi-precious stones, gemstones, paintings, leather craft,  hand-crafted items in wood, ivory, glass, brass, silver, gold, handmade jewellery, carpets, durries,  Mojaris / Jutis, Marble crafts and textiles of colourful fabrics like Bandhani & Bandhej among others.

The Mela, which is open to public from 10 am to 9 pm, concludes on June 4.
