Crackdown on unauthorised entries: DIGP Parashuram

January 18, 2026

Mysore/Mysuru:  K. Parashuram, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) and Commissioner for Traffic and Road Safety, told Star of Mysore that the SPs of Mandya and Ramanagara have already been instructed to deploy personnel at entry and exit points of the Highway during peak traffic hours.

He said that Police personnel will be posted at entry and exit points, with regular and intensive patrolling and enforcement. This, he said, would prevent vehicles from using unauthorised entries and wrong-side access.

“This reassessment of safety measures is already under implementation and we expect to receive reports from the SPs within a fortnight. The plan is to strengthen surveillance, which at times suffers due to manpower constraints and VIP movements,” he added.
