Cricket betting: Three arrested

Periyapatna: Cops attached to District Crime Intelligence Bureau (DCIB) has arrested three persons on charges on indulging in cricket betting last night during India-Pakistan match and have seized three mobile phones and  Rs. 1,500 from them.

The arrested persons have been identified as P. Mahesh and Manjunath of Periyapatna and Madhu of Bhuvanahalli in the taluk.

The trio have been remanded to Judicial custody. DCIB Inspector Gopalakrishna and staff Prabhakar, Ramprasad and others took part in the operation.
