Mysuru/Mysore: With the Mysuru region Job Fair (Udyoga Mela) scheduled to take place at Bharat Scouts and Guides Grounds in the city on Feb.19 and 20, Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G. Sankar launched the event website www.mysorejobfair.in at his office here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said the Job Fair has been organised in association with Skill development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Department and Mandya and Kodagu district administrations. Pointing out that more than 10,000 job aspirants are expected to take part in the two-day event, he said that the Mela is open for candidates with qualifications ranging from VII Std. to Post-Graduate degrees. Even candidates with technical qualifications can attend the event. The candidates can register online for free through the job fair website. There are offline registrations too, for which 10 counters will be opened at the venue.
The Job mela will be open from 10 am to 5 pm on Feb.19 and from 10 am to 4 pm on Feb.20, the DC said and added that 100 stalls will be set up for holding interviews by employers.
The DC further said that the KSRTC will be asked to ply more buses for the two-day event and measures will be taken for setting up make-shift toilet facilities at the venue.
