Mysuru: The 104th birth anniversary celebrations of former Chief Minister late D. Devaraj Urs will be held on Aug.20 at Kalamandira. 

Chairing a meeting at his Office yesterday, DC Abhiram G. Sankar instructed the officials to prepare for a grand celebration befitting the contribution of Devaraj Urs to society. However, the chief guest and other invitees would be decided in the next few days, he said.

 Apart from felicitating students for scoring highest marks in SSLC and PUC exams held during 2018-19, the District Administration will distribute prizes to winners of essay writing and sports competitions organised for the inmates of student hostels run by the Department of Backward Classes, he added.
