Deveeramma (70), wife of Chikkaiah and a resident of Karimuddanahalli in the taluk, passed away here yesterday.

She leaves behind her husband, sons Mahadeva, Shivaraju, Dr. C. Maraiah, C. Swamy and Srinivas, daughter Prema and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed at her farmland in Basavanahalli of the taluk this afternoon.
