Sir,
I am a resident of No. 552, Al Badar Masjid Road, Rajivnagar 2nd Stage. This is to draw the attention of the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) towards the incomplete construction of a drain near my house, which has been left open for the past two months.
Despite several complaints and reminders, the drain has neither been covered with slabs nor cleaned. Residents have begun using it as a garbage dump, worsening the situation.
It has now become a public nuisance, emitting a foul smell and attracting flies and mosquitoes — posing a serious health hazard. I request the MCC Commissioner to personally intervene and ensure a lasting solution is implemented at the earliest in the interest of affected residents.
I am also writing to highlight this unresolved civic issue despite continued follow-ups with the MCC. Ref: Complaint No. 35666, dated 20th March 2025.
The drain causes unpleasant odours and turns into a breeding ground for mosquitoes and flies, endangering public health. Through SOM, I urge the authorities to take immediate action.
