Ease traffic bottleneck near Hinkal Flyover

April 11, 2026

Sir,

The Hinkal Flyover near Ashram Road is a junction where two service roads, the down- gradient Flyover Road and the Hunsur Main Road meet, with a total of five roads converging at this point.

Due to the presence of a bus stop on the service road, two or more buses frequently arrive at the same time, causing a bottleneck. As a result, vehicular traffic comes to a standstill on either side of the road.

The situation also leads to frequent accidents, as there is no signal or traffic personnel to regulate vehicular movement.

Consequently, motorists and the public travelling near the Flyover face considerable hardship. Will the Traffic Police Department and the District Administration conduct an immediate survey or spot inspection and take the necessary steps?
