June 20, 2025

Mysore/Mysuru: An elderly man died on the spot after falling from a moving train yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Prasanna (63), co-ordinator of Kukke Subramanya Temple Trust and a resident of Basavanagudi in Bengaluru.

Prasanna, who had gone to Kukke Subramanya, arrived at Mysuru Railway Station in the train. After stopping for some time, the train then proceeded towards Bengaluru during which Prasanna went to the toilet to attend nature’s call.

While Prasanna came out and was proceeding towards his seat, the train was negotiating a curve and Prasanna, who lost his balance, fell out of the door and was killed on the spot.

Mysuru Railway Police, who reached the spot, registered a case and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary, where post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family members.
