Elderly swimmer bags medals at State-level

Mysore/Mysuru: City’s 80-year-old senior swimmer Sundaram Basappa has bagged four gold medals in swimming contest at the 4th Karnataka State Masters Games-2023 organised by Karnataka Masters Games Association (affiliated to Masters Games Federation of India) at the Nehru Stadium in Shivamogga on Jan. 21 and 22.

Owner of Sri Manjunatha Dish View and a resident of Vivekanandanagar in city, Sundaram has secured gold medal each in 50m Back Stroke (1:42), 100m Back Stroke (3:32:91), 50m Free Style (1:14) and 4x50m Free Style Relay in the ’75 and Above’ age category representing Mysuru city.
