Election Officials seize Rs. 20 lakh cash in K.R. Pet

K.R. Pet:  In separate seizures, Election Officials have seized a total of Rs. 20,11,400 cash at two check posts which were being transported without any documents.

In the first seizure, the authorities have seized Rs. 19,46,400 at a check post near Chikkonahalli Housing Board Layout  on Channarayapatna-K R Pet Main Road.

The cash was being transported by one Niranjan in his car which was proceeding towards Channarayapatna.

In the second seizure, the election authorities manning the check post near Marenahalli Hariyaladamma Temple on Shravanabelagola-K.R. Pet Main Road, have seized Rs. 65,000 cash being transported in a car without valid documents.

The cash and the car have been seized, according to Assistant Election Officer Venkatesh and Tahsildar M. Shivamurthy.
