Mysore/Mysuru: The Office of the Deputy Director, Department of Women and Child Development, has invited applications from organisations and individuals who are working for women’s welfare and individual women who have achieved extraordinarily in the field of sports, art, literature and education, to present Kittur Rani Chennamma Award for 2024-25.
Women, who have exhibited outstanding courage in rescuing lives by risking their own lives with time sense/ consciousness, are also eligible to apply for the award.
Applicants should have served for a minimum period of five years in the NGOs and above mentioned fields. Those drawing salaries are not eligible for the award.
Kittur Rani Chennamma Award will be presented to achievers on Mar. 8 during International Women’s Day celebrations.
Prescribed application forms can be collected from the Office of the Deputy Director, Department of Women and Child Development, Sthree Shakti Bhavan, K.D. Circle, Vijayanagar 2nd Stage, Mysuru. Filled in applications, along with necessary documents, should be submitted to the Office before Jan. 3, according to a press release from the Department.
