Excelsoft launches AI-powered toolkit for teachers

October 13, 2025

Mysuru, Oct.13- Excelsoft Technologies Limited, a vertical SaaS player specialising in learning and assessment solutions, has launched an AI toolkit designed to support teachers in classroom preparation, lesson planning and student assessment.

Built in collaboration with teachers and aligned with CBSE/NCERT standards, the toolkit addresses one of the biggest gaps in India’s classrooms: the disproportionate time teachers spend on preparation versus direct student engagement.

In its first phase, the toolkit brings together four teacher-focused solutions — namely Lesson Plan Assist, Quiz Generator, Exam Preparation Assist and Video Trimmer.

The toolkit has been designed as a plug-and-play product for immediate deployment across schools of every size without heavy infrastructure or steep learning curves. Excelsoft will roll-out the product in a phased manner across India.

Features and Impact

Teachers currently spend long hours creating lesson plans, quizzes and exam materials, yet most digital tools are generic, built for global markets, and do not reflect Indian curriculum needs.

With this toolkit, the time saved by the teachers can be redirected towards mentoring, personalised learning and deeper student engagement, while retaining full control to review and refine AI-generated content.

Lesson Plan Assist generates CBSE-aligned, activity-rich lesson plans — Generated within 60 mins; Saves 6 to 9 hours per plan.

Quiz Generator creates adaptive, competency-based quizzes — Drop from 2 hours to 20 mins; Saves 60 to 80% of prep time.

Exam Preparation Assist builds customised exam practice papers by sorting CBSE past papers, adjusting difficulty and converting formats. It can adjust difficulty levels and convert question formats in under 5 minutes, a process that once took days.

Video Trimmer condenses long educational videos into concise, classroom-ready clips; Ready-to-use, reel-like content for class.

“Education at its core is about preparing children for life, and that mission begins with empowering teachers. Many digital tools unintentionally reduce teacher involvement with students, compromising student learning outcomes. That’s why we built the AI Toolkit with teachers as the lynchpin of the design process. These tools are meant to free teachers from routine prep and administrative load, while enabling richer student-teacher interaction,” said Adarsh Sudhindra, Vice-President, Excelsoft.

Sudhanva Dhananjaya, Chairman and Managing Director, Excelsoft, said, “NEP 2020 and the new National Curriculum Framework place strong emphasis on competency-based learning and assessments, a shift already visible in CBSE classrooms. Teachers are at the heart of this transition, and technology must be designed to strengthen their role, not dilute it. At Excelsoft, our two decades of experience in designing trusted, pedagogy-first learning and assessment platforms in India and globally has guided the development of the AI Toolkit. It represents a responsible path for bringing AI into classrooms; innovative, curriculum-grounded, and built to serve teachers in their role as anchors of education.”

In its next phase, Excelsoft’s AI Toolkit will be extended to support students, parents and school leaders with features like an AI-powered doubt solver, Learning Progress Tracker, home support tools and dashboards to further improve teaching quality and learning outcomes.
