Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha urges Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw
New Delhi: Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha has taken the issue of Mysuru-Mumbai train to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and has sought the extension of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus- KSR Bengaluru Udyan Express to Mysuru.
There has been a demand from regular travellers between Mysuru and Mumbai for the extension of the Udyan Express (Train No.11301/02) which currently runs daily from Bengaluru City Junction (KSR) to Mumbai CST so that it can start from the Mysuru Junction. This would help a lot of people and also in the economic growth of Mysuru region as Mumbai is the economic and financial capital of India.
In a memorandum submitted to the Railway Minister, Simha has stated that the daily rail connectivity between Mysuru and Mumbai would be a boon as train journeys are affordable, safe and faster. It will deliver immense benefits to people of not only Mysuru but also those residing in several adjoining districts like Kodagu, Chamarajanagar, Mandya and Hassan.
Mysuru is poised for tremen-dous growth with the construction of Expressway between Mysuru and Bengaluru and with many projects lined up like India’s first chip-making plant being set up by International Semiconductor Consortium, Silk Cluster, a start-up hub and a cyber security ecosystem. “These herald the beginning of the movement of a large number of skilled and unskilled labour to the Mysuru region from every part of the country, especially from Maharashtra and Gujarat,” the MP noted.
“Local Railway officials informed me that the train would remain in KSR Bengaluru City for over 12 hours. The Railways must examine the operational feasibility of extending the service of this train to and from Mysuru, thus enabling the fulfilment of a long-pending demand of the people of this region for daily direct train connectivity from Mysuru to Mumbai,” Pratap Simha stated.
The prospect of transporting coffee and spices from Kodagu and finished products like truck tyres, instant food, agarbathis, handicrafts, motorcycle, industrial gears and others by rail will be bright once fast and seamless services between Mysuru and Mumbai are established, he added.
From other reports it is believed that their was a request to increase the MEMU services by adding 4 more service to existing 3 . Do consider requesting for AC MEMU service between the two cities as it will benefit thrifty Foreign tourist. Another request to be made to railway minister is that all rakes of trains coming to mysuru should be tilting technology rakes as Bengaluru-mysuru section has many curves and hence even Vande Bharat express runs only at 75 km per hour speed but with tilting technology rakes they can run at 130 km per hour so that tourists can reach Mysuru faster.
Please run a direct superfast train from Bengaluru to Mysore in the morning time (starting at anytime between 7:30 am 8:30 am). While many trains are today available they long distance time and commuters are facing issue of waiting for a long time many times due to late arrival at Bengaluru.
Mysuru , such a beautiful peaceful city will go the Bengaluru way and ruined.
Why are they hell bent on mobbing Karnataka and make it disorderly with serious law & order issues ?
Leave our pride Mysuru alone for heaven sake
Good request made by MP Pratap Simha. It makes sense to have Udyan express to run from Mysuru in place of Bengaluru. This will prevent Mysuru travellers to change train at Bengaluru to travel to Sholapur and beyond.
Idiots like @Sanjay Kini, the scoundrel who wants Mysore to be inundated with tourists, because, he is in that business and @Av Prasanna, the Sir MV of power engineering, but wanted the LPG cylinders instead of the pumped gas, because he took money from that company also want Mysore City to be destroyed .
Hey @SRIDHAR , Mysore was destroyed when masses of non-Mysoreans came to settle in Mysore in late1970s includiung the SOM Ganapathy, and INFOSYS Murty bribed the CM and constructed his so called training centre so th\at he could emplot mote IT Techie coolis, made himself rich, educated his son and duaghtere in the US, bought them homes ythere, paid hefty dowries, got a sin in law and through millions of USDs, made him a MP in the UK, who in turn bought himself the PM ship.
Kiss good bye to Chamundi Hill, which will crumple as a heap in a few years.
Udyan express currently crawls and has the highest number of stops, 34 in all, and takes 22 hours for travelling 1150 kms. Best is to make this train run with 10 stops and can cover the same distance in 15 to 16 hours as Superfast express. There are only two trains between Bangalore and Mumbai, henc a new train can be operated between Mysuru to Mumbai, rather than extending Udyan.
Hey Voice
There are more Malayalees, Tamils and Northies in Mysore, who incidentally do not speak Kannada, than Kannda-speaking people in the City.
The Kerala CM wants to divert to gold smuggling criminal gang traffic from the UAE, which is destrying his state to Mysore, and hence , he has encouraged the Malayalee businessmen resident in the UAE, to request Modi for a non-stop direct flight from Abu Dhabi to Mysore, when the Mysore airport expands, which Modi agreed.
There is already the distribution of this smuggled gold and Hawaala money operation controlled by the above Malayalee ?Criminal gang in the UAE, through Wayanad-Nanjangud-Mysore route and then onto the new Mysore-Bangalore Jighway. You see more gold in circulation in Mandya and Ramanagara already, and moreHawaala money operations-related crimes in Mysotre and beyond.
Mysore is finished already . Scoundrels like @Kini wants to destroy the city more, as he thinks Mysore needs tourism. It does not, as it is already industrialised.
Here in NewDelhi, the thinking is to encourage more Malayalee and Tamil migration to Mysore, so that the BJP can increase its MPs, by citing this.
Hello Indians
What you need is NOT more transport links, but better population control. Your country is the most populated country in the world, and hence, your countrymen try to enter all Western countries illegally these days.
You need to reduce your population, otherwise, you will be a menace to the whole world.
All you Disturbed Mysorians Should known One thing is, Juste because of Introducing a one or Two Trains from other States , The City will not get POLLUTED
Or No one NEED a PASSPORT or a VISA to enter the CITY.
It is a good decision by The MP Mr. Pratap Simha. I hv seen this Udyan Express in Kengeri Rly Station Idealling for 10- 12 hrs after reaching Sangolli Rayanna Rly Stn from Bombay around 6.30 Am, the will be shunted to Kengeri for inadequate space and in order to accommodate other incoming trains to City Station. Instead of Idling for 10-12 hrs, it can be extended to Mysore immediately and train can be accommodated in Mysore for maintenance etc and Mysore people can travel to Mumbai directly without change over at Bangalore and lot of goods & services can also transported directly which saves freight charges also.
It is a wise decision of our young & dynamis MP Mr. P Simha seeking extension. Instead of discouraging him, one should encourage him for his bold steps in doing yeomen service to the people of Mysore & Kodagu Dist.
Thanks 🙏 again mr.mp.of mys. No words to live in this comment box.again hats up sir. P.simh.
Yes already Mysuru is getting destroyed fr influx of Malyalees,Tamilians, coastal region of our state..we want balanced growth of Culture,Industrialisation etc but ETHOS of Kannadigas in Mysuru should be preserved
What’s the point in adding more trains when there are no platforms for arrival and departure. the train reach from blore to mys outskirts and vice-versa in 2 hrs and then have to wait for another 45 min to 1 HR to reach the platform..more over a journey of 1000 kms from blore to Mumbai takes 24 hrs..just because of the bus lobby the speed is never increased….which should take just 12 hrs to reach from blore to Mumbai…9pm board at blore and 9.00 am in mumbai
Tukali galaa nim appana asti alla Mysore, nim gala appa nay kelkondo train hakokay and Jana barokar.

Brainless Indians, total mugs, want to increase more trains from Mysore. ?Fools, you need more platforms, more rail tracks and other infrastructure, which the current main Mysore station cannort handle. Plus the 1-0-lane Tipu Highway has taken more spsaces, and soon will be clogged with cars.
India is sinking with population increse. Whjat a third world dump!
Why not recommend for vande bharat
Remove this train, introduce sathapthi or vande Bharat,
Mysureans have lost their minds completely… Blame anything on everyone but themselves. Any issue, blame Malayalees, blame Tamilians, blame “Northies”… Who speaks or thinks like this? What are you, savage barbarians or tribals living in a forest? You wanted to become a “Global City”, you wanted to become an International Knowledge and Tech Hub, you wanted to be a replacement/alternative to Bengaluru… that’s what you are getting, so why fret? Don’t you realize that becoming an “International” or “Global” something leads to Mass Exodus of people from elsewhere to your place? Can you point out at just one successful and progressive place on this entire planet which doesn’t have people flocking in from everywhere, from all walks of life? This is the quintessential essence of being a Global City, a Knowledge and Tech Hub no less…! If you really cared for Mysuru to retain its original sanctitude, you should have never dreamt of being a replacement to Bengaluru! That time you were greedy AF, you wanted to skyrocket your land/property rates and drive BMWs and Audis and Mercs… now what is the use of these crocodile tears? Prepare yourself for the rot… oh and by the way, where in the world is that ropeway upon Chamuni Betta that we had ordered? It should have been here already!!! What a time to be alive – to bear witness to the transformation of the cultural capital to garbage capital…
Hello @Ugly
What Mysore and indeedc India offers is CHEAP LABOUR, CHEAP IT TECHIES, THE COOLIES, AS THEY ARE PAID IN INR and not in USDS.
These I?T swaeshop owners like the Murtys have become unbelievably trich sending their sons and daughters to the USA, buying homes there, and by paying hefty dowries even got a PM of UK!
?That is the ugly truth.
You the dimwit say India is global, but does not mention it is a global country that carries out outsourced cheap labour and contributes maasive illegal immigrants to the West.
Get veru ashamed, as youy are a massively populated third world dump. Very, very ugly, like you!!
