Mysuru: As part of International Women’s Day, Sri Shivarathreeshwara Mahila Samaja has organised a felicitation programme for six women who have rendered distinct service in various fields on Mar.28 at 4 pm at JSS Women’s College auditorium in Saraswathipuram.

Amba M.G.R. Urs, Chief Editor, ‘Vaidya Vartha’ (Ayurveda Kannada Monthly published from the past 44 years); Dr. Jyothi Venkatesh, Co-ordinator, Centre for Global Languages, Central College Campus, Bangalore University; Sujatha Swamy, French Lecturer and Faculty, Central College Campus, Bangalore University; Rekha Harish, Reporter, Tulu TV, Kudla; P. Sheela, Printing Section and Bhumika Shivanand, International Sports Person, will be felicitated by Kuvempu’s daughter Tarini Chidananda Gowda, Senior Writer.

The programme will be presided over by ‘Chutuku Siri’ Rathna Halappa Gowda, recipient of Kitturu Rani Chennamma Award given by Government of Karnataka. D. Sujatha Urs, Deputy Director, Police Academy, Mysuru, will be the main speaker.

Mamatha Suresh, Warden, JSS Women’s Hostel, Lavanya Urs, Principal, Purna Chetana Public School and Gayathri Kadamba, Secretary, will be the chief guests on the occasion.
