Mysuru: M.S. Sathyanarayana (Sathyappa), former Corporator and a resident of Ittigegud, passed away yesterday morning following a heart attack. He was 82.

He leaves behind his wife Brahmarambha, daughters M.S. Archana, an IAS Officer and Pavana, son M.S. Deepak, a software engineer and a host of relatives and friends.

An athlete in his college days, Sathyappa was also a champion swimmer. He was a Corporator in 1983 and was serving as the Vice-President of City Congress unit at present. He was also a senior member of Cosmopolitan Club. Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill yesterday evening, according to family sources.
