Gitagaya Doreswamappa (97), a resident of Devanuru in the taluk, passed away yesterday.

He leaves behind three sons including Sri Gurumalleshwara Seva Samiti President and retd. Professor Sadashivamurthy and a daughter.

Last rites were held at his native village this afternoon.
