Hunsur: A six-year-old girl died after falling into a water pit at Moodalakoppal village in the taluk on Friday afternoon.

The deceased girl is Prateeksha, daughter of Manjegowda and Preethi couple of the village.

Prateeksha was drowned after she fell into the water pit which was dug to store water for                         the plants.

One Chandregowda of the village was urged to not to allow children inside the farm for safety as the pit was dug and water stored inside it, but Prateeksha, somehow had managed to venture inside the farm. Last rites were held at the village.
