Gold ornaments lifted in KSRTC bus

Mysore/Mysuru: A woman, who boarded a bus with a child, has reportedly lifted gold ornaments from a woman’s vanity bag at Suburban Bus Stand on Jan. 26 morning.

The woman, who lost her jewels, is 65-year-old Noor Fathima, a resident of Rajivnagar 2nd Stage in city.

Fathima, who wanted to go to Bengaluru, boarded the KSRTC bus (KA-09-F-5019) and sat on the seat. Another woman, who boarded the bus along with a child dropped a few coins and urged Fathima to collect the fallen coins as she was holding the child.

When Fathima collected the coins and gave it to the woman, the woman told her (Fathima) that she would buy the ticket and come and alighted from the bus not to be seen again.

After sometime, when Fathima wanted to take out her mobile phone from the vanity bag, she found the bag’s zip open and a box containing 120 grams gold ornaments missing.

A case has been registered at Lashkar Police Station.
