Handing over of Layouts in Ward 65 to MCC temporarily stopped

January 2, 2025

Mysuru: Following a Court order, the authorities have temporarily stopped the handing over of residential Layouts coming under Ward 65 to the MCC.

According to K. Nagaraj, Hon. President of Srirampura Nagarika Hitarakshana Samiti, the Samiti had filed a writ of Mandamus in the High Court opposing the plans to hand over residential layouts in Srirampura and Lingambudhi areas coming under Ward 65, to the MCC.  The HC, which heard the petition recently, directed the authorities not to hand over the layouts until further orders and to maintain status quo. The Court posted  the next hearing in the case to Jan. 7.

Nagaraj further said that a letter had been written to MUDA Commissioner on the HC order asking the authorities to maintain status quo.
