Hockey tournament for Primary, High School and College students organised jointly by National Sports Day Committee, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports (DYES) and Hockey Mysuru starts tomorrow (Aug. 24) at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in Nazarbad here. The tournament is being organised in memory of Maj. Dhyanachand and journalist Rajashekar Koti.

Disclosing this at a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here yesterday, Committee Vice-President Aradhya said that the tournament will be inaugurated by Olympian Ashok Kumar Dhyanchand and UoM VC Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar at 10 am on Aug. 24. He added that about 30 teams from the district would participate in the tournament. The valedictory will be held at 4 pm on Aug. 29, where achievers in various fields will be felicitated, he said.
