Mysuru: Gurusiddegowda, father of Shobha, is said to have confessed before Police that he himself had killed his daughter and burnt the body.

Gurusiddegowda and his wife Mahadevamma were arrested by Police in Ooty based on a complaint by the girl’s lover Krishna with Saragur Police.

Gurusiddegowda was said to have confessed that Shobha had eloped with Krishna two months ago and was spotted by him near Mullur Gate in H.D. Kote taluk. He is further said to have confessed that he tried to convince Shobha to detach from Krishna but to no avail and hence killed her.
