Mysuru: Marking Human Rights Day, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) and Human Rights Service Committee together had organised a function recently at Town Hall here.
Inaugurating the programme, Principal District and Sessions Judge P.G.M. Patil said that the Indian Constitution had formulated 30 Fundamental Human Rights which should be made aware among people.
He regretted that despite the Constitutional Rights, cases of violation have been happening which should be seriously dealt. He further said that such cases should be immediately brought to the notice of the DLSA.
Speaking on the occasion, DLSA Members-Secretary C.G. Mohammad Muzirullah said that DLSA would offer free legal assistance to women. He asked organisations not to provide wrong informations to public on human rights but instead seek the assistance of DLSA.
Human Rights Service Committee Chairman Kasturi Chandra presided. Additional DC T. Yogesh, DDPI Manjula, Employment Exchange Officer Vishwanath Bharani and others were present.
Job mela
A job mela was also organised on the occasion where about 20 Companies participated.
