Nagpur: India won the first home-series cricket Test against Australia registering a thumping victory against the visitors inside three days today at Nagpur. The hosts crushed Australia by an Innings and 132 runs in the Post-lunch session on the third day today.
India, who resumed their first innings today at 321/7, were all out for 400, thus gaining a huge lead of 223 runs. Australia, who began their second innings, were bowled out for a paltry 91, with Ravichandran Ashwin becoming the chief wrecker bagging five wickets while Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja bagged two wickets each and Axar Patel- one.

The second Test will be played at New Delhi from Feb. 17.
