As part of 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Yuva Brigade of Mysuru has organised ‘Jai Hind Run’ a marathon tomorrow (Jan. 24) at 6.30 am.

Addressing a press conference at Patrakartara Bhavan yesterday, Mahendra of Yuva Brigade said, “Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is one of the greatest freedom fighters, whose famous quote ‘Give me your blood, I will give you freedom’ is still remembered widely. Netaji was a front runner in mobilising the people against the British rule and had set up Azad Hind Fauj.”

He said that ‘Jai Hind Run,’ a 4-km marathon, will be flagged off by Thinker Chakravarthy Sulibele in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple at Palace North Gate tomorrow. In the evening, a public convention titled ‘Blood and Freedom’ has been organised at Jayamma Govinde Gowda Kalyana Mantap in Kuvempunagar at 7 pm, he added.

Titular head of the Mysore royal family Yaduveer Wadiyar, Junior Pontiff of Avadhoota Datta Peetham Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji and Chakravarthy Sulibele will be participating in the event.
