Mysore/Mysuru: Kumar Performing Arts Centre (KPAC) has organised its 36th International Nirantara Kalemane Festival on the occasion of International Women’s Day on Mar. 24 at Kalemane Sabhaangana in Hebbal 2nd Stage in city at 2.30 pm.
The chief guests of the evening will be Dr. Jamunarani V. Mirle, renowned dance guru and Secretary of Mysore Art Gallery, M.N. Latha Mohan, Hon. Secretary, Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Mysuru and Dr. L.R. Ramanujan, Music Teacher, Music Director and Playback Singer.
On the occasion, ‘International Women’s Day Kalemane Kalashree’ award will be conferred on C.S. Mangalamma, Author, Teacher & Social Worker, Mysuru, Dr. Prathibha Pereira, Professor and Head, Department of Geriatrics, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru and B.R. Nagaratna, renowned writer.
The performances of the evening are as follows: Rendering of devotional songs by Dharithri Ananda Rao, Founder & Director, Nadavapusha School of Music, Mysuru and disciples; Bharatanatyam performance by Dr. Kripa Phadke, Founder & Director, Nrityagiri, Mysuru & Vidu. Pooja Sugam; Kathak performance by disciples of Vidu. Baneeta Nag, Kathak Artiste and Founder & Artistic Director of Atulya School of Performing Arts, Bengaluru; Bharatanatyam performance by Vid. Yogesh Kumar and Vidu. Sneha Narayan, Director of Kalasnehi & Narthanayoga Performing Arts, Bengaluru; Bharatanatyam performance by Vidu. Arathi Arun of Sri Ganesha Sangeetha Nrityala Charitable Trust, Mysuru and her disciples.
