Mysuru: The dancing fountain at Kuppanna Park (Nishad Bagh) in city will spring to lilting music at 7 pm from tomorrow (May 27).
This lively spectacle will see the fountain dancing to 32 songs from 7pm to 8.30 pm with two intervals. The entry fee for adults is Rs. 20 and for children (aged between 5 and 12) is Rs. 10.
However, there will be a trial run of the musical fountain today at 7 pm and the entry for public is free. Since the glass house construction is going on at the Park, the tourists and the general public can watch the show only during the hours fixed.
However, once the work on the glass house is completed, then Kuppanna Park will be open for visitors. The glass house coming up at a cost of Rs. 6.20 crore will be 20.9 metres high from ground level and the dome will reflect the architecture of the surrounding Palace domes.
Nikith Build Tech Private Limited from Bengaluru has bagged the contract, said Thimmaraju, Assistant Director, Zilla Panchayat Horticulture Department and added that the glass house will have four entries.
There are four different packages and in each one, eight songs out of 32 will be played. The modern automated musical fountain will dance to the tunes of Wedding cake, Peacock, Highjet, Mist blowers, Rainbow, Water cascading effect and the songs will be both in Kannada and Hindi that will include patriotic songs, janapadageethe and songs on farmers.
