Mysuru: Lions Club of Mysore West (LCMW) kicked off its annual fund-raiser with Paediatric Cancer Awareness Walk at Lions Sevaniketan School this morning.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Mysureans across age groups including students and working professionals.

The walk was flagged off by District Governor  Ln. K.N. Rajashekhar. Proceeds from the fund-raiser will support Project CARE (Comfort and Relief for Every Child), an initiative dedicated to assisting children battling cancer.

LCMW President Neeru Mehta, Ln. Mahesh Rao, Ln. Kirtivan Kotian and other Club Members were present.

About 500 participants took part in the Awareness Walk and free Health Camp conducted at Lions Seveniketan School in Gokulam.

As part of the fund-raiser event, Medico Melodies, a musical evening by Dr. Somanath Vasudeva and team will be held at Jagannatha Centre for Art and Culture (JCAC) in Vijayanagar today (Jan. 3) at 5.30 pm.
