‘Library is a treasure house of knowledge’

November 24, 2017

Mysuru: As part of National Library Week, a book exhibition was organised by the City Central Library at its branch in Chamundipuram here recently.

Inaugurating the expo, Corporator M.V. Ramaprasad opined that ‘library was even today a treasure house of knowledge.’ He added that an e-Library would be launched soon at the branch which would be of immense use to students.

He sought two libraries in each ward for which the number of readers should increase substantially.

He regretted that the advent of television had disturbed the habit of reading books.

Ward 6 leaders C. Sandeep, Manjunath, Aravind, Library Staff and others were present on the occasion.
