Mysuru: The Regional Conference of Lions International District 317 will be held at Builders Association of India (BAI) auditorium in Vidyaranyapuram at 8.30 am tomorrow (Jan. 4).
Addressing a press meet here yesterday, Lions International Regional President P. Honnaraju said that former Rangayana Director Janardhan (Janni) will deliver a talk on the topic ‘First Priority is Humanity.’ Lions Multiple Council Chairman Dr. N. Krishnegowda will be the chief guest, he said.
Honnaraju further said that 35 artificial legs totally valued at Rs. 1.75 lakh will be distributed to physically challenged beneficiaries, a cheque for Rs. 50,000 will be presented to Sante Saragur School for development of school building and a sewing machine will be distributed to a needy woman.
Also, personalities from different fields — M. Panchalingegowda, Veena Ashok, H. Kushi, K.P. Shivaprasad and Lion Jaiprakash— will be conferred with Lifetime Achievement Award on the occasion, he pointed out.
Lions International office-bearers M.N. Jaiprakash, M.V. Nandeesh and C. Shankar were present at the press meet.
