Bengaluru:  In its first major reshuffle of IAS Officers, the coalition government yesterday appointed IAS Officer M.R. Ravikumar as the Commissioner, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC). In all, as many as 21 IAS Officers have been transferred. Following are their new postings according to an official notification.

Ravikumar, who was serving as the Personal Secretary of Tanveer Sait, the then Primary and Secondary Education Minister in the previous Congress Government, was earlier transferred but was not shown the posting. As such, he had reported the matter to Department of Personnel Administrative Reforms. Now he has been transferred as MCC Commissioner. The present MCC Commissioner K.H. Jagadeesha has not been given any posting.

In rest of the transfers, former Mysuru Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep has been posted as Additional Commissioner (Administration), Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike.  Jawaid Akhtar has been posted as the new Principal Secretary to the Department of Health and Family Welfare. Akhtar will hold concurrent charge of the post of Managing Director, Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation, Bengaluru.

Pankaj Kumar Pandey has been posted as Commissioner, Health and Family Welfare and Ayush Services, Bengaluru. He will also hold concurrent charge of the posts of Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies, Consumer Affairs, Legal Metrology Department and Secretary, Information and Public Relations Department. P.C. Jaffer is the new Commissioner for Public Instruction, Bengaluru.
