Mahadevamma (Vatsala), wife of late A.C. Shivashankar and a resident of Sri Rama Road, passed away yesterday in city following brief illness. She was 85.

She leaves behind three sons — well-known historian of Mysuru, vlogger of ‘Marethu Hoda Mysurina Putagalu’ A.S. Dharmendra Kumar, A.S. Veerendra Kumar and A.S. Ravindra Kumar — and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at Veerashaiva Burial Grounds in Vidyaranyapuram this morning, according to family sources.
