MCC Budget to be presented in June first week

Mysore/Mysuru: Mayor Shivakumar said that the MCC Budget (2023-24) will be presented in the first week of June.

Pointing out that the Assembly polls and the delay in the election of Chairpersons of the four Standing Committees of the MCC were the main reasons for the delay in presenting the Budget, Shivakumar said, now that the Assembly polls are over and the Heads of the Standing Committees have been elected, the Budget is likely to be presented on June 5 or 6.

Finance Standing Committee Chairman M.D. Nagaraj will present the Budget, he added.

He further said that he would talk to the Finance Committee Head, Members and the Council Secretary and send notice on Budget Meeting to all the concerned either today (May 29) or tomorrow.
