MCC must crack whip on pig menace at Dattagalli 3rd Stage

January 27, 2023

Sir,

From the last two to three  months, we have been seeing that a group of pigs is roaming around near Rotary School, ‘H’ block, Dattagalli 3rd Stage in the city.

For some time we thought  they were wild pigs which came from nearby villages like Kergalli.  But after observing keenly, we came to know that they are domesticated pigs.

I believe that these pigs are reared by some people living near Dattagalli 3rd Stage. They must be letting these pigs go around freely.

A lot of people in the locality go on walk both in the morning and evening hours, including children, women and senior citizens.

Since pigs are aggressive in nature, they may attack and seriously injure the helpless people.

I request Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) authorities to look into the menace  before something serious happens.
